A Chinese influencer was stabbed to death in Nepal. Gan Soujiong, a well-known Chinese street food vlogger, was killed while livestreaming in Nepal. The shocking attack is said to have been carried out by a rival influencer. Following the death, a suspect was arrested. 

According to Asia Wire, the shocking attack occurred on Sunday afternoon at Kathmandu's Indra Chowk market. On December 4, Chinese national Feng Zhengyung was arrested in connection with the death of Gan Soujiong, who is also popularly called Fatty Goes To Africa online. Following the fatal attack, Gan was taken to the National Trauma Centre. He died as a result of stab wounds to the chest and stomach.

During the violent street attack, his companion Li Chuzan was also stabbed in the stomach. He was rushed to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.

Gan Soujiong attack video goes viral online

Fatty Goes To Africa can be seen livestreaming himself as he walks and laughs with his peers in the video, which has been shared across social media platforms. The video was interrupted by a series of distressing high-pitched screams as it progressed. The screen shook as well, eventually going black.

Another video showed Gan Soujiong sitting in the middle of the street, covered in blood, while another person could be heard swearing at someone in Chinese. Suspect Feng Zhengyung was arrested following the death of his fellow influencer

Gan Soujiong, who was 29 years old when he died, was seen clenching his stomach. He was also gesturing towards the phone, presumably asking onlookers to call for help. The investigation into his death is currently ongoing.

The influencer used his social media platforms to introduce his followers to the food and culture of other countries. In China, he has approximately five million fans.
