New Delhi:
The people of Gorakhpur think that the government's judgement against those who took law and order into their own hands, the way violence occurred after Friday prayers in Kanpur, and the government's subsequent action against stone pelters are all related. As a result, some innocent people are being stuck. People told reporter Deepak Srivastava that the government should only take action against the perpetrators after thoroughly investigating the situation.

Persons from the Muslim community in Gorakhpur's Chaksa Hussain area said that the number of people involved in the incident in Kanpur and other places was modest, but they misled local youths and mixed them with them. The way the government is dealing with such people now is totally correct.

People took to the streets after Friday prayers in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Riots broke out after Friday prayers in many areas across the state in response to Nupur Sharma's unacceptable statement.

Since then, the administration has arrested more than 300 miscreants. 325 persons have been arrested in total. FIRs had been filed in 13 districts at the same time. Firozabad 16, Ambedkar Nagar 41, Moradabad 35, Saharanpur 80, Prayagraj 92, Hathras 51, Aligarh 6, Jalaun have all had four persons arrested.
