Yasin Malik confesses to sedition charges: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front chief Mohammad Yasin Malik,   has admitted his crime in front of the NIA court after being charged under the UAPA for terrorist and separatist activities in Jammu and Kashmir. Malik is accused of violating various sections of the UAPA, as well as sedition and criminal conspiracy.

Yasin Malik has admitted to accusations of sedition

Yasin Malik has stated that the allegations made under these clauses are not false. This means Yasin Malik has decided not to fight the case, and the court will review his sentence without delay. On May 19, Special Judge Praveen Singh will hear arguments over Yasin Malik's punishment. The charges against Yasin Malik can be punished with life imprisonment.

Were working on the behest of Pakistani masters

On March 16, the court ordered that charges be filed against Yasin Malik, Hafiz Saeed, Syed Salahuddin, separatist leader Shabir Shah, Masarat Alam, and others. The court felt they were working to separate Kashmir from India at the request of Pakistani masters through the funds received from them.

Trial is going on against these accused

On Tuesday, the court formally formulated charges against the defendant. Farooq Ahmed Dar alias Bitta Karate, Shabbir Shah, Masarat Alam, Mohammad Yusuf Shah, Aftab Ahmed Shah, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Naeem Khan, Mohammad Akbar Khande, Raja Mehrajuddin Kalwal, Bashir, who confessed to the murder of 20 Kashmiri Pandits in an interview, are among them. Several Kashmiri separatist leaders, including Ahmed Bhat, Zahoor Ahmed Shah Watali, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Abdul Rashid Sheikh and Naval Kishore Kapoor are involved.

Hafiz Saeed, the leader of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Syed Salahuddin, the leader of the Hizbul Mujahideen, have also been charged. Both terrorists have been declared fugitives due to their presence in Pakistan. The trial against them will go on.

The case is connected to the year's violence

Let us remind you that in the years following the murder of terrorist Burhani in the encounter, there was a rise in terrorist incidents in the Kashmir Valley. There was a lot of bloodshed in the Kashmir Valley at that time. The NIA then filed a case against the other separatists, including Yasin Malik, and began arresting them.

Malik confessed to claims of waging war against the country, promoting violence, and launching a separatist organisation.

No punishment yet for the killing of Kashmiri Pandits

In 1990, Yasin Malik is suspected of killing four unarmed Air Force officers as well as several innocent Kashmiri Pandits. Malik has not yet been charged with the murders. Yasin Malik might be hanged if the hearings on other cases begin in court as well.
